About Me

Hi, I am Samson Tilahun. I feel a bit awkward telling you about myself. I would rather take every opportunity to tell you about Christ instead. However, increasingly, most of you who follow this IMG_3969_revisedblog site have not met me in person.

I’m a fellow follower of Christ, a husband to my dearest wife Betty- to whom I am eternally grateful for she has shared in my walk with the Lord as well as the ministry since our early twenties. I worship the LORD with the saints at Emmanuel Worship Center, NY. I’ve served in this local church in various capacities for over 15 years, starting from leading Choir groups, playing music, teaching Sunday adult classes…etc. I’ve also served as part of the eldership team for about 7 years.

I have a Masters of Divinity (M.Div.) in Biblical and Theological Studies and a Master of Theology in New Testament (Th.M.) from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Louisville KY.

I love coffee. Even if I say ‘Noooo!!’, please still brew me one, I was just being polite…milk and sugar, please.

I hate cliché so much for I think they are depraved of content. Reducing God’s self revelation to clichés and much fragmentation of the truth domesticates God. They would reduce him to ideas. Thus, I strive for understanding. The downside to this is that I tend to over explain things, I want this to change. So please bear with my shortcomings. In all, my passion is to bear witness for Christ and testify to the majestic deposit of Truth that was given for the saints once and for all (Jude 1:3), which is the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. I have a long way to go, and I fall short of that goal in many ways. I want this too to change.

    What a grace! You both look gracious. I love you both and admire your passion for Christ. You have a long fruitful life together. Much fruit bearing years ahead of you. Dreams and visions will come alive. His hand on you.

    ሰላም ወንድሜ ሳምሶን እጅግ ደስ የሚያሰኝ፡ ብሎግ ነው በተለይ ለእንደኔ አይነቱ (መጽሐፍ (Biblical) ቅዱሳዊውን ታሪካዊውን (Historical) ኦርቶዶ (Orthodox) ክርስትናን ለተጠማ ማለቴ ነው፡ በርታ በተለይ ላለንበት የአስተምህሮ ግራ መጋባት ቀጥተኛ ነገረ መለኮት ብዙም ቦታ በማይሰጥበት ወቅት እንደ አነተ አይነቱን ወንድም ማግኘት እጅግ ደስ ያሰኛል ደግሞም ያበረታታል፡ መጦመሪያህን (Blog) እከታተላለሁ ከዚህ በፊት ያሰፈርካቸውን ተመልሼ አነባለሁ ተባረክ።

      በጌታ የተወደዱ፤
      ጊዜዎን ሠውተው ለመመዝገብና አስተያየትዎን ለመለገስ ስለወደዱ በጌታ ስም እጅግ ልባርክዎት እፈልጋለሁ። በእነዚህ ገጾች ለማድረግ የምሞክረው የክርስቶስ ኢየሱስን የመስቀል ሥራና በነጠላ በቂነት፤ እንደዚሁም ራሱን በቅዱሳት መጻህፍት ላይ እንደገለጠልን የሥሉስ አምላካችንን ክብር በታማኝነት መልሶ መግለጥና ማጉላት ነው። በቅዱሳት መጻህፍት ላይ ሰው ሁሉ ሊቀበለው የሚገባ መሠረታዊና መካከለኛ እውነቶች አሉ። እነዚህም የሕይወትና የሞት ጉዳዮች በመሆናቸው፤ በማንኛውም የእምነት ዘርፎች ውስጥ ያሉ አማኞች ሊቀበሉት የተገባውን፤ ለማስተማር ጥረት አደርጋለሁ።

      “ኃጢአተኞችን ሊያድን ክርስቶስ ኢየሱስ ወደ ዓለም መጣ የሚለው ቃል የታመነና ሁሉ እንዲቀበሉት የተገባ ነው፤ ከኃጢአተኞችም ዋና እኔ ነኝ” 1 ጢሞ. 1:15 (AMHB)

      ይህንን የማደርገው፤ በአስተያየትዎ ላይ ጥሩ አድርገው እናዳስቀመጡት፤ ዋነኛውን ነገር በእግዚአብሔር ቤት ውስጥ ዋነኛ ሆኖ እንዲቀመጥና ጥርት ያለ ዕይታ በትውልዳችን ለማምጣት ነው። አውቃለሁ ሊሆን ከሚገባው ነገር ጋር ሲተያይ፤ ይህ እጅግ ታናሽ ጅማሬ ነው። ሆኖም ግን ምን ይታወቃል? አምላካችን እነዚህን ታናናሽ ጅማሬዎች እኮ ሊጠቀምባቸው ይችላል!

    በጌታ ለተወደድከው ወንድማችን ሳምሶን ይህን ገጽ በትኩረት እከታተላለው በብዙም ተጠቅሜያለው ስለ አንተም ጌታን አከብራለው፡፡ አሁንም በአገልግሎትህ ጌታ መከናወን እንዲሰጥህ እጸልይልሃለው፡፡ የእውነት አስተምህሮን ክፉ ሊያጠፋ በተነሳበት በዚህ ዘመን ለእውነት ቃል መጠበቅ ጌታ አንተን እንደ ዘብ ስላስነሳህ ጌታን እባርካው፡፡ ትምህርተ ህላዌ የሚለው መጽሐፍን በድረ-ገጽ የሽፋን ገጹ እና ማውጫው ነው ያለው እንደው ቢቻል ሙሉውን ብትልክልኝ ሌሎችም ካሉ እቀበላለው…. በጌታ ፍቅር !!
