[column-group][column]The Lord placed this vision in my heart about 7 years ago while teaching the then “young adults” group on the doctrine of Salvation and Christ. I don’t take credit for everything I write. Actually please take most of what I write as a result of being taught. My teachers are not random. I have learned to choose mentors because they shape one’s belief. I do that because of the people I serve, to keep a close watch on myself and on the teaching, for by doing so, I will save both myself and my hearers. I don’t want deceive the bride of Christ, nor I want to be found a worker who is ashamed in the presence of Christ Jesus, who himself confessed the good confession in the presence of Pontius Pilate. I don’t write anything I thought overnight. Even though most of the actual posts are written in few minutes to hours, however the thought behind the posts are not.I don’t believe any bible teacher should teach anything that he has not thought it through. We are dealing with the Living God who revealed Himself to us in Christ Jesus our Lord in a particular way (this is what’s so called ‘the scandal of particularity’). Yahweh’s self-disclosure in Christ Jesus is so particular that believers are warned to take a close watch on the nature of this self-disclosure. There are truth in the scriptures that should be said and taught in precisely the same way and the same emphasis. We call these primary doctrines, such as the person, work and the deity of Christ (ትምህርተ ክርስቶስ), the Trinity (ትምህርተ ምስጢረ-ሥላሴ), the person and deity of the Spirit (ትምህርተ መንፈስ-ቅዱስ), the exclusive sufficiency of Christ’s redemptive work (ትምህርተ ተሰርዮ) and the fullness of revelation that came to light through Him (ትምህርተ አስተርእዮ)…etc (see the chart below). That being said, of course not everything in the scripture has that sort of weight and prominence. Certain truth in the scripture, regardless of the fact they are the word of God and we do take them seriously, but the scripture itself teaches us that they are not life and death. We call these kinds of truth in the scriptures: tertiary doctrines.For instance, “will Christ reign on earth for a literal 1000 years?” The church has always held three alternative views, without one side condemning the other as heretic. Why? Because they are not primary doctrines.They are not life and death. The manner of his return has some mysteries built into it to gain absolute clarity. Therefore one must have humility in this regard.
“One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord..For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord….Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother..” [/column][column]
However the same Paul who says “let’s not pass judgement to one another” also says :
“Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.Let no one disqualify you, insisting on asceticism and worship of angels, going on in detail about visions, puffed up without reason by his sensuous mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom the whole body, nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God. do you submit to regulations— “Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch” (referring to things that all perish as they are used)—according to human precepts and teachings? These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in promoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they are of no value in stopping the indulgence of the flesh.”
“O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified…You observe days and months and seasons and years! 11 I am afraid I may have labored over you in vain.“
One could ask Paul, ” Come on Paul take a stand! Which one is it?” When you read these statements in their respected context, however, Paul makes perfect sense. When the supremacy of Christ and the sufficiency of the gospel is compromised, in other words when the primary biblical teachings are not primary in the life of the church anymore and when the main agenda of 
her appointed teachers is no longer teaching the whole counsel of God in a Christ centered way, who bought his church with his own blood, then the same Paul turns table. At this point, humility is precisely being upfront and confrontational, of course in righteousness and love. If upholding the truth includes slandering, vilifying, insulting and being disrespectful, then most likely we are defending our own ego than contending for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. The apostle James critique this way of defending the truth when he says: “Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.” Humility, however, is neither lacking backbone nor saying everyone is right. Humility starts by recognizing the seriousness of God’s self-disclosure in his holy Word and possessing a contrite spirit resulted from the exposure of God’s self-disclosure in Christ. We must take this disclosure seriously. It is a matter of survival.
So how can one keep the main thing the main thing? Brothers and Sisters in Christ, whom I love, it starts by being a good student. Before teaching, one must be a very good student of scriptures. That is to say, one must sit under someone else besides himself or herself. So we don’t be deceived by being wise on our own eyes or own “revelation”. I believe in this to the core of my being. That is the reason, I dedicate this site to those of you who are passionate about the Lord and the one and only source of our revelation, his Word. Let’s keep up the good fight of faith in humility and love!

If I were to tell you that the Bible is my only influence, not only that is untrue but that would be presumptuous and unwise, to say the least. Recognizing our influences makes us wise and gives God the glory for all those people that he uses to influence our hearts about Him. We all stand on the shoulders of others, and there is no such thing as a belief uninfluenced. We all are influenced by those whom we give our ears to, for ill or gain. We don’t have a choice not to, but only to choose whom we give our ears to, for Jesus has said ‘watch what you hear’. However, these influences are external pointers and testimonies to the glorious Gospel of Christ, who are susceptible to error like all of us. Therefore our final authority is the Word of God, Scripture and not people. It is only wisdom that tells us to read scripture and meditate upon it day and night, and having done that to counsel those who are standing tall before us and those who have gone before us, in order to see where we are going wrong. I don’t agree with everything they say. I don’t go everywhere they go, but I have learned a great deal from these godly people. In addition, it was Christ who gave teachers to the church. Again we should not be wise on our own eyes. Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety. (Proverbs 11:14)
